The train is an alternative: both places are on the Vienna–Břeclav line and Gasthaus Jana is a few minutes on foot from Dürnkrut station.

For anyone already travelling in the northern part of the district, yes. The lunch menu at Gasthaus Jana consists of a soup and a main course and changes daily; the kitchen cooks on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you are in a hurry, order by phone and collect the food ready to go.

What sets Gasthaus Jana apart from places in Gänserndorf?

The Bohemian side of the menu. Alongside Wiener schnitzel and grilled cutlets there is wedding-style beef roast with bread dumplings, raznici and sausage in vinegar and oil — dishes cooked on both sides of the river March for generations. There is also a function hall of a size not every village can offer.
